You might have an experience of writing too technical or boring texts. In this training, we will introduce to you how to write meaningful and effective stories and understand the key writing elements i.e. pictures, illustration and quotes. Good texts or stories create an impact on readers and make them to react on what we intend to communicate.

Learning Objectives

At the end of the training, the participants will have

  • Understood the overall structure of effective writing and its function
  • Learned how to analyze their audience and develop writing objectives
  • Gained tips on how to write attractive text for your audience
  • Understood the importance and features of good “story” and practiced writing your impactful story
  • Learned and practiced how to use key writing elements effectively i.e. pictures, illustrations and quotes

About the trainers:

Rojana Manowalailao


is a communication officer with an ASEAN-German project on sustainable agrifood systems being implemented by GIZ. Her main task is to pick up a key message and write to deliver the key message of her project. She also has experiences of more than seven years with international development cooperation agencies in website management, publication design management and promotional material production. Before GIZ, Ms. Rojana worked with a UN orgnisation for the ASIA and Pacific Region on education, science and culture, also in the field of communication and public relation. In addition, having been a journalist herself gives her an insight to see the minds of the media.
